What an interesting day

It went from good to turmoil to deep nostalgia to getting drenched to ripping up arm muscles, then right back to the nostalgia.

The particular nostalgia for tonight is all about the demoscene. I am an avid follower of the demoscene, and have been for about 11 years now. I absolutely can NOT believe it's been that long. I was watching my copy of Second Reality and just floored that it's now 10 years old. It still entertains the hell out of me, but I don't think anyone else except for the hard core sceners would even come close to understanding, so I just put on the headphones and go back to where I stayed up night and day to download demos off our college's 14.4k Internet link. I was just glad I could download those demos for free at the time instead of paying international long distance charges to hook up to the Starport BBS in Helsinki Finland. Man I wish I could be there at Assembly 2003 (cache) this year. Well, there's always next year.

For anyone remotely interested, I have the invitation for this year's Assembly right here.

Also, Farbrausch continues to amaze and delight with their newest production fr-025, the popular demo (cache). I highly recommend it.

Anyway, enough rambling. I have more demos to stay up and watch...
