I had not just sleep apnea, but severe sleep apnea. I averaged an episode of either apnea or hypopnea (breathing so shallow the blood isn’t sufficiently oxygenated) nearly 30 times an hour, or once every two minutes. 

No wonder I was exhausted. I was getting tons of sleep, but barely any rest.
